Terms of Use
Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old.

You must be the legal owner of all items submitted.

You must be acting on your own behalf, not as an agent.
Sending Items to Us
-
Always use Royal Mail Special Delivery when sending items.
-
Items are insured by Royal Mail up to £750. If your items are worth more, you should purchase additional cover (£1,000 or £2,500).

If we purchase your items, we’ll refund the cost of extra insurance (receipt required).
Packaging and Forms
-
Complete the valuation form and sign the customer declaration.
-
Incomplete, unsigned, or incorrect forms may result in rejection.
-
We may reject or return any packages that appear opened, damaged, or tampered with.
Unidentifiable or Lost Property
-
If we receive items without a completed form or identifiable sender, we will store them securely for 6 months.
-
If unclaimed after 6 months, items may be refined, with deductions of £5 per week for storage and insurance.
-
Claims made after refining will receive payment for any residual value (less deductions).
-
To reclaim lost items, you must provide a full and accurate description. If verified, we’ll make an offer based on current pricing.
Items Sent in Error

If our pack is used to send items not intended for us, a £20 return fee applies to cover postage, insurance, and admin.
Refund & Returns Policy
Declining an Offer
-
If you’re not happy with our offer, we’ll return your items free of charge within 5 working days via Royal Mail Special Delivery.

Offers are valid until 5pm on the same working day due to daily market price fluctuations.
Sending Items a Second Time
-
If you decline our offer and then resend the same items, and decline again, a £15 admin and postage fee may apply.
Items Containing No Precious Metal
-
If your items are found to contain no precious metal:
-
We can return them to you for £15, or
-
We can dispose of them free of charge
-
Undeliverable Returns
-
If a return or cash payment cannot be delivered, Royal Mail will leave a notice for collection.

If unclaimed and returned to us, we’ll contact you to rearrange delivery.
-
A £10 fee applies to resend items or cash.
-
For cheque/bank transfer as an alternative, a £5 fee applies.
-

If payment is not received within 21 days, we may refine the items and deduct:

£20 admin cost, plus
-
£5 per week for storage and insurance
-
Terms of Sale
Valuation Process

Items are tested for weight, purity, and precious metal content based on that day’s live market prices.

Valuation may involve chemical testing (e.g. acid), which may leave stains or scratches. We are not liable for any resulting damage.
Accepting Our Offer

Once you accept our offer:
-
The sale is legally binding
-
Ownership transfers to MyGoldForCash Ltd
-
Items are immediately scheduled for refining and cannot be returned
-
Changing Your Mind
-
Once accepted, the transaction is final. Items are irreversibly processed and cannot be cancelled or retrieved.
Payment Options
We offer the following methods:

Bank Transfer – Free; usually next working day

Cheque – Posted weekly to your address
-
Cash via Royal Mail Special Delivery – Secure and insured, £9 fee applies; only sent to the original address; must be signed for
Claims
-
If you need to file a claim (e.g. for loss), contact us immediately for a claim form.

The completed claim form must be returned with all required documentation.
-
Claims are processed within 14 days.

If your items are lost after we’ve received them, we will offer:

Equivalent items, or
-
Compensation based on replacement value
-

If there is a dispute over replacement value, we will jointly appoint and cover the cost of an independent valuer.
Legal Information

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any claims must be made within 1 year of the event.
-
You agree to indemnify MyGoldForCash Ltd against any losses or legal fees resulting from a breach of these terms.

We reserve the right to update these terms. By sending items to us, you agree to the most recent version available at www.MyGoldForCash.com.

We are registered in the UK and only accept gold from UK addresses and pay to UK bank accounts.

All personal information is stored securely and processed in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act. We never share your data without your consent.
